Trade write off

My doctors have a couple of people that they trade services with, and I am looking for the best way to track this in OD. I have a Trade option listed in Adjustments(subtraction). However some patients will come for a while and have a lot of work before they trade services. I am looking for suggestions tracking and taking care of balances. Thanks!
